A service line leak in Highland/Ross Township brought gas service down for this customer. The meter on this property was a remote meter, meaning it sits away from the house rather than directly on the exterior wall. When a service line develops a leak, the utility or a licensed plumber has to locate the source before gas can be restored.

In this case, the leak was on the gas company side of the meter, which meant we were able to repair it without requiring the customer to relocate the meter or replace the service line at their expense. Gas service was restored after the repair was completed.
